Drive along the beach past Teewah and the Coloured Sands, all the way to Rainbow Beach, Double Island Point and on to the Fraser Island vehicular ferry. Vehicle permits are required to drive along the beach and on some inland tracks on Noosa North Shore in the Cooloola Recreation Area, and to camp – PLEASE CLICK HERE to purchase your permit online. Getting There

Take the Noosa North Shore Car Ferry from the end of Moorindil Street, Tewantin – it’s a short, 2-minute trip across the river. Some parts of Noosa North Shore are accessible by all vehicles, although 4WD is needed to travel along the beach. Vehicle permits are required to drive along the beach and on some inland tracks – please see details above.
